Kicking the beginning of the month off on the 1st we have Jealous Lovers presents Big Colours supporting Violas, it’s a free show with BeatReview DJ’s so there’s no excuse not to come along.

On the 2nd the legend that is Gary Numan will be performing at the Coal Exchange. June 3rd sees Nyth put together a stellar line-up of acoustic, experimental and Welsh-language bands for their Nyth Micro Festival at Gwdihw including indie-popsters Yr Ods, folk bandj Cowbois Rhos Botwnnog and the incredible Bo Ningen plus many others.

On the 4th is the BeatReview.com micro festival at Gwdihw. With AYOR Events and Balderdash Promotions curating 2 stages of live music, Bare Naked Beer and HomeCooked treats this looks like being an amazing day. Already confirmed are Catfish & The Bottlemen , John Blek & The Rats , We’re No Heroes, Little Arrow, Right Hand Left Hand , Ivan Moult, Paper Factory , Huwie Price, Jon Fazal and many more. A whole day of live music thanks to having an extra day off on the Tuesday, what more could you ask for??

On the 6th over at Buffalo Bar are the highly rated electro of Simian Ghost and Stealing Sheep. Charlotte Church showcases new material at The Globe on the 8th. Among brothers will be playing Undertone on the 10th. Houdini Dax will be playing Clwb Ifor Bach on the 16th. Scottish band The View (yes they are still somehow going) promote their new fourth album with a gig at the Great Hall on the 19th.

Jealous Lovers presents Sam Forrest singer of the brilliant Nine Black Alps who will be playing a solo show at Gwdihw on the 20th. At the same venue on the 22nd Typical Stereo presents some great indie bands This many Boyfriends, Just Handshakes, Totem Terrors and Tour de Josh. Indie poppersThe School will be hitting Ten Feet Tall on the 23rd. The Oxjam launch party will be held at Gwdihw with We’re No Heroes playing the event on the 27th. The final gig will be Kate Nash over at Clwb on the 30th.

What a packed month of great music to looked forward to, see you at a gig!
